Kingbrook Rural Water System, Inc., System Accounts Receivable Specialist Needed
Kingbrook Rural Water System, Inc. has an opening for Accounts Receivable Specialists. Duties will
include, but not limited to: handle all member water accounts, process all water usage, payments
and billing information, provide monthly reports and pursue collection thereof.
Assist with answering the telephone and assist members by providing information as needed in a
user-friendly manner. Prepare customer work order/service call tickets and inform operators of
service work in their area as soon as possible. Maintain the customer records and files in an orderly
manner. In the event of a water outage, provide information to the field staff of such outage and keep
members informed as to the expected length of outage. Assist with the annual meeting by printing
ballots, copies of minutes, registering members and guests. Be aware of training programs and
participate in approved training activities. Perform system and member records filing. Assist the
Office Manager in the operations of the office. Provide assistance to the Member Services-
Accounting Specialist, when necessary, with providing information to potential new members
considering water service. Maintain appropriate inventory of office supplies and materials. Make
necessary on-call operator changes as required in KorTerra (SD One Call) and SCADA. See that
office facilities are maintained in a clean, neat, and orderly manner. Be proficient in the operation
and use of the SCADA, Badger Beacon and ARC-GIS System. Perform other duties as assigned
and be willing to cross-train for all administrative duties.
Desirable minimum qualifications: Knowledge of computer operations and customer relations skills.
Possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Must be self-motivated and able to plan
and organize the work as a member of the team working with a minimum amount of direct
supervision.
Training and experience requirements: Basic office and accounting skills, 10-Key and formal
computer training including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Intermediate Excel, and Power Point is
desirable or a minimum of 18 months of experience in a comparable position may be substituted.

This position offers a salary in the range of $18.75 to $22.00 per hour. The successful applicant
must possess a valid South Dakota driver’s license and will be required to pass a pre-employment
