Living in Wauwatosa
The Medical College of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy Campus is located in Wauwatosa,
Wisconsin. Wauwatosa is a large suburb located outside the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Many students enjoy living in Wauwatosa due to its close proximity to campus.
Bottom line: If you want to be close to campus and likely won’t have a vehicle on campus,
Wauwatosa living is the right fit for you.

Some students find downtown living more suitable if they seek more social activities
outside of school. Students who come to campus alone and/or are new to the Milwaukee
area enjoy downtown living for its peak social life. However, you will need regular and
reliable transportation to get to campus (bus, Uber/Lyft, personal vehicle).
Bottom line: If you plan on bringing a vehicle to campus/don’t mind regularly using public
transportation to get to campus and seek an active and social lifestyle, downtown living is the
right fit for you.

West Allis, New Berlin, and Brookfield are all large suburbs outside the city of Milwaukee.
If you seek a more quiet lifestyle outside of school, these are the cities for you. These areas
are family friendly and feature many dining and shopping options. Living in West Allis, New
Berlin, or Brookfield will require you to regularly have reliable transportation (bus,
Uber/Lyft, personal vehicle) to campus.
Bottom line: If you want to live in family friendly communities outside the chaos of downtown
living and don’t mind regularly driving to campus, living in West Allis, New Berlin, or
Brookfield are the right fit for you.
