Multibox
The Multibox is available in two versions, standard and plus, to which you can
add one of eight individually shaped covers to meet your requirements. The
sounder base unit is housed in a 3mm poly-carbonate case and has a 1.5mm
inner cover to protect the electronics, battery and strobe.
The Multibox has a sound output of 115dB(A) @ 1m with a wall and cover
tamper protection. The plus has the option of SAB or SCB operation. To
comply with the latest EN standard the Multibox monitors the rechargeable battery to ensure that it is capable of
maintaining the required sound level for 30 minutes in the event of the hold-off voltage being removed, if the Multibox
detects the battery is not capable, it will report this via the fault output. The Multibox also has trigger wire monitoring
to ensure that the integrity of the trigger wire is maintained, in the event of the trigger wire being cut or removed this
will be reported via the fault output. Also included is a test input to allow for remote testing of the unit and is used in
conjunction with the fault output to report the status of the Multibox during remote testing.
Both are easy to install using a typical 5-wire connection, the option of trigger-wire monitoring for sounder and strobe
is also available. Both versions have RED and GREEN comfort LED’s which flash at 1Hz and also act as diagnostic
indicators.
