CARING FOR YOUR CONCRETE TABLETOP
CHARACTERISTICS
RH concrete tables are handmade of a custom engineered concrete mix, then finished and sealed using
proprietary methods.
The casting process creates subtle color variations and mottling of the concrete; no two items will be
exactly alike.
Concrete may exhibit spotting and hairline cracks due to exposure to the elements and expansion and
contraction; scratches will appear due to usage.
●• Our concrete tables are sealed, but due to the natural porosity of the concrete top, tables are not
impervious to staining.
Small surface apertures are the result of the hand finishing process.
Non-structural hairline cracks can appear on the surface due to age and exposure to elements.
These do not affect the structural integrity of the tabletop.
With sun exposure, the concrete tabletop will fade in color.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
We recommend using a non-abrasive cleaner like Method® All-Purpose Cleaner.
1. Spray the cleaner across the surface, let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then wipe down with a sponge or towel.
2. For added protection and polishing, we recommend using carnauba wax (such as Trewax® Clear Paste Wax)
every 2-5 months.
To apply:
a. Dampen a clean sponge or a soft, clean cotton cloth with water and wring out completely.
b. Working in small sections, apply a thin layer of wax in circular motions.
c. Remove the excess wax immediately with a dry cloth in the same circular motion; buffing works the wax
into the natural material.
d. Move to the next section, overlapping the last application slightly.
3. Concrete fabricators can professionally reseal the surface if needed.

RECOMMENDATIONS
To prevent scratches, do not place or drag sharp or coarse objects across the surface.
Avoid contact with acidic substances such as citrus or olive oil, which can damage the sealant.
We do not advise the use of most natural cleaners, as the cleaning agent is typically highly acidic and can
damage the table’s surface. Citrus-based cleaners should not be used.
Do not use any cleaning products that contain acetone or denatured alcohol.
Do not use any heavy abrasive, bleach-based or ammoniated cleansers.
Do not place extremely hot pans, dishes or glasses directly onto the tabletop, as this can cause sealer
discoloration and rings.
We recommend always using placemats or coasters.
Use felt pads on the bottom of objects that will remain on the tabletop for long periods. This is especially
important with natural stone materials or items that contain moisture; residual moisture can transfer to the
concrete and cause discoloration.
Wipe up spills quickly to avoid staining.
Our outdoor furniture covers will help protect the table from the elements.
