over SmartPoint

locations to hear fun phrases, sounds, short tunes

and sing-along songs.

Unlock the packaging locks:

Turn the packaging lock anticlockwise

several times.

Pull out and discard the packaging lock.

BATTERY INSTALLATION – VEHICLE

1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.

2. Locate the battery cover on the

back of the police car. Use a

screwdriver to loosen the screw.

3. Install 3 new AAA (AM-4/LR03)

batteries following the diagram

inside the battery box. (The

use of new alkaline batteries

is recommended for maximum

performance).

4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

BATTERY INSTALLATION - REMOTE CONTROL

1. Locate the battery cover on the back of

the remote control. Use a screwdriver to

loosen the screw.

2. Install 2 new AAA (AM-4/LR03)

batteries following the diagram inside

the battery box. (The use of new alkaline

batteries is recommended for maximum

performance).

3. Replace the battery cover and tighten

the screw to secure.

Disposal of batteries and product

The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and

batteries, or on their respective packaging, indicates they

must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain

substances that can be damaging to the environment and

human health.

The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked,

indicate that the battery contains more than the specified

value of mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out

in Battery Directive (2006/66/EC).

The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the

market after 13th August, 2005.

BATTERY NOTICE

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH – VEHICLE

To turn the unit ON, slide the OFF/

MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to t h e

REMOTE CONTROL MODE ( )

or STANDARD MODE ( ) position.

To turn the unit OFF, slide the OFF/

MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the

OFF ( ) position.

2. CHANNEL SELECTOR SWITCH

To allow the Remote Control Police Car and

remote control to function together, slide the CHANNEL

SELECTOR SWITCH (

) to the same location on

the Remote Control Police Cars and remote control.

NOTE: If two or three Remote Control Police Cars are operating in

the same vicinity, place each unit on a different channel (

(A maximum of three Remote Control Police Cars can operate

in one location).

3. FORWARD/BACKWARD BUTTONS

In REMOTE CONTROL MODE, press the FORWARD

BUTTON or BACKWARD BUTTON on the remote to make

the police car go forward or backward. (The effective distance

for the police car to recognise the remote control is 9 ft. to 18

ft. The distance will be shorter when the batteries are low).

For your child’s safety, only use the motorised car on Toot-

Toot Drivers play sets. Do not roll the car on your clothing,

body or hair while the motorised car is turned on. If something

gets caught in the car’s wheels while the motor is on, lift

the car up so it is no longer touching your child or slide the

mode selector switch to the off position to turn the motor off.

4. AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF

To preserve battery life, the VTech

Toot-Toot Drivers

Remote Control Police Car will automatically power down after

approximately 60 seconds without input in STANDARD MODE

and 120 seconds in REMOTE CONTROL MODE. In STANDARD

MODE, the unit can be turned on again by pressing the light up

face button or pushing the vehicle. In REMOTE CONTROL MODE,

press the light up face button or turn the unit off and on to turn

the unit on. (The remote control cannot wake up the police car).

NOTE: The Remote Control Police Car is in try-me mode in the

packaging. After opening the package, turn the vehicle OFF

and ON again to proceed with normal play. If the unit powers

down while playing, we suggest changing the batteries.

NOTE: For optimal performance, keep your Toot-Toot Drivers

Remote Control Police Car indoors and out of direct sunlight.

ACTIVITIES

1. Slide the police car’s OFF/MODE

SELECTOR SWITCH to either

REMOTE CONTROL MODE or

STANDARD MODE to turn the

police car ON. You will hear a song,

a phrase and sounds. The light up

face button will flash with the sounds.

2. Press the light up face button to

hear police car sounds, songs and

phrases. The light up face button will

flash with the sounds.

3. When the police car is in STANDARD

MODE, push the police car to hear

fun sounds and melodies. While a

melody is playing, push the vehicle

again to add in fun sounds on top of

the melody. The light up face button

will flash with the sounds.

4. For remote control play, turn the

police car to REMOTE CONTROL

MODE (

). To drive the

police car with the remote control,

put both items on the same

CHANNEL SELECTOR SWITCH

number. Once both items are on the

same channel, press the forward or

backward button on the remote for

some racing fun!

ACTIVITIES

5. Operate up to three vehicles at once by putting each Remote

Control Police Car on a different channel number using the

CHANNEL SELECTOR SWITCH! (Each Remote Control Police

Car sold separately).

6. For added fun, the Remote Control Police Car interacts with other

Toot-Toot Drivers

play sets. Simply roll or navigate the police car

overoneoftheplayset’sSmartPoint

locations to see the light

flash and to hear greetings, fun sounds, short tunes and sing-along

songs (each play set sold separately).

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.

Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat

source.

3. Remove the batteries when the unit will not be in use for an

extended period of time.

4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit

to moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions,

pleasefollowthesesteps:

1. Please turn the unit OFF.

2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.

3. Let the unit sit for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.

4. Turn the unit ON. The unit should now be ready to play again.

5. If the product still does not work, replace with an entire set of new

batteries.
