HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE
The goal of healthcare experience is to provide the applicant with direct patient contact experiences within a
healthcare setting. It also provides applicants the opportunity to learn if a career in healthcare is a good fit.
The healthcare experience template needs to be completed, and signed by your supervisor in the healthcare
setting and submitted with your application. Points will be awarded from only one category - the category that results
in the highest point value. Up to a total of 5 points for work experience or 2 points for volunteer experience can be
earned. Work experience and volunteer experiences are not combined.
Final point allocations are determined on each individual application by the Nursing Admissions committee. All
decisions made by the Nursing Admissions committee are FINAL.
