JOB DESCRIPTION: The Center for Civil Rights and Social Justice [“CCRSJ”] housed at the Emory
University School of Law is looking for a program coordinator to join the team. Working under the guidance
and supervision of center directors (Darren Hutchinson, Faculty Director and Alicia Hughes, Interim Executive
Director), the program coordinator provides logistical and administrative support for all CCRSJ events and
activities. Duties include executing planned projects, preparing program materials, transmitting
correspondence, and overseeing support during program sessions, including but not limited to webinars,
symposia, colloquia, and meetings. The position involves significant interaction with internal school clients
(faculty and other departments) and external audiences. The program coordinator may help develop fundraising
programs, including researching and identifying funding sources, and assisting with writing and submitting grant
proposals. The program coordinator also performs related responsibilities as required.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, intuitive, and passionate about civil rights and social justice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience,
education, and training.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced degree
Proficient in MS Office Suite, Zoom, Outlook.
Working knowledge of Canvas preferred but not required.
Ability to work a varied schedule based on business demand which will include nights and weekends.
