“The experience was wonderful. It enhanced my interpersonal skills,
confidence around doctors and nurses in a clinical settingI felt as if I
helped an individual live a healthier lifestyle...
Fall Research Assistant, 2012
“I volunteered in this program for one year, because I wanted to have
work experience in a hospital setting. At first, I thought I wanted to go
to medical school or perhaps graduate school for biomedical studies.
However, after interacting with patients, doctors, nurses, and other
hospital staff I realized I wanted to be a Nurse Practitioner. The
interaction with patients and all levels of medical care helped me to
figure out what I wanted for my career. This kind of experience is not
easy to find for college students, so I am very thankful for the
opportunity to have worked with this group.”
