Introduction to the
World Hunting Awards Program
e World Hunting Award Program consists of many dierent awards that was
designed to help SCI Members celebrate their hunting achievements. To qualify
for the various awards available, each active member will need to submit their
animals to the SCI Record Book Department. You can do so by submitting the
measurements of each animal taken by an Ocial SCI Measurer or by submit-
ting a photo entry of each animal. For instructions and information on submit-
ting an animal into the Record Book please contact the Record Book Depart-
ment 520-620-1220 or visit our website at www.safariclub.org
SCI Inner Circles: is award program oers a variety of leveled awards for any
type of big game hunter. Inner Circle awards contain 5 dierent levels per award:
Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond levels.
SCI Milestone Awards®: Milestone Awards do not have levels. ere is only one
way to achieve a Milestone Award and that is to obtain all the required animals
for that award.
SCI Continental Awards: is award program was designed to challenge those
hunters who want to travel to all the dierent continents and hunt.
SCI Pinnacle of Achievement Awards, Zenith Award and Crowning
Achievement Award: is award program takes into account how many Inner
Circles and Milestone Awards you have achieved. e more Inner Circles and
Milestone Awards you achieve the higher you progress in these awards.
SCI World Hunting Award Ring: e World Hunting Award Ring has been
achieved by an exclusive group of SCI members who have excelled in the World
Hunting Awards program. If a member reaches the World Hunting Award ring
they are presented a complimentary custom-craed ring made of 14-karat white
or yellow gold, onyx and 21 point diamonds with six stones.
SCI World Conservation and Hunting Award: is Award is the highest
achievement an SCI member can receive in the World Hunting Awards Pro-
gram. Less than 60 SCI members to date have received this prestigious award.

Animals of Africa
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: COPPER17, BRONZE26, SILVER49, GOLD61, DIAMOND80
There is a slightly dierent entry procedure for SCI Animals of Africa. In most other Inner Circles, you may enter any combination of eligible animals listed to arrive at the required minimum
number. For Animals of Africa, you must have taken the specic animals listed in each column to qualify for that particular Inner Circle level. For example: to enter at the Bronze level, 26
animals are required. Under the column heading “Bronze” you will nd the animals grouped into categories. The number in the Bronze column tells you how many varieties in that particular
group are required. You must have all the 26 animals listed in that column to qualify for the Bronze Circle.
*From Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe under CITES quota; **Under certain conditions; ***May be darted; ****From native habitat in country of origin
Note: Nubian ibex and aoudad (Barbary sheep) are not required but, if taken in native habitat, can substitute for any other animal. Water chevrotain is not required but can be substituted for any pygmy

Animals of Africa (Bow)
BOW MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Copper-5, Bronze-15, Silver-21, Gold-31, Diamond-37
There is a slightly dierent entry procedure for SCI Animals of Africa. In most other Inner Circles, you may enter any combination of eligible animals listed to arrive at the required minimum number.
For Animals of Africa, you must have taken the specic animals listed in each column to qualify for that particular Inner Circle level. For example: to enter at the Bronze level, 15 animals are required.
Under the column heading “Bronze” you will nd the animals grouped into categories. The number in the Bronze column tells you how many varieties in that particular group are required. You
must have all the 15 animals listed in that column to qualify for the Bronze Circle.
*From Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe under CITES quota; **Under certain conditions; ***May be darted; ****From native habitat in country of origin
Note: Nubian ibex and aoudad (Barbary sheep) are not required but, if taken in native habitat, can be substituted for any other animal. Dik-dik, forest duiker, and water chevrotain are not required but
may substitute for any pygmy antelope, or bush duiker. Elephant, rhinoceros, crocodile and hippopotamus are not required but can be substituted for any other animal. Mountain nyala substitutes
for any spiral-horned antelope.

Inner Circle. When this is achieved and paid for, you will receive a
10x8 walnut plaque. There is an engraved brass plate displaying the
SCI logo and award name (example: Ibex of the World) with your
name proudly engraved below the program name. Below the name
plate are 4 successive blank brass plates, with the Copper level plate
engraved with the year achieved on top and as you achieved and
purchase additional levels you add to your inner circle plaque.
2 BRONZE
3 SILVER
4 GOLD
For the additional levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold you will receive the
black engraved plate once that level is achieved and purchased, and
then you will add to your existing plaque.
5 DIAMOND
Once the Diamond level is achieved and paid for, you get to choose
from one of the many economy bronze animal base that holds your
Inner Circle plaque showing the Diamond plate on the base.

INNER CIRCLE ECONOMY BRONZES
Now you can reect your personal taste in designing your award for display in your trophy room,
home, or oce. Each one of your successful hunts is a memorable, cherished experience. Usually, a hunt
for one particular animal will be remembered above the rest as a truly outstanding adventure. Once you
are qualied and entered into one of SCI’s World Hunting Award programs, you can choose a bronze base
to represent your nest hunt.
These anatomically detailed sculptures are admired for their elegance and timeless beauty that cap-
tures wildlife at its best. Each of these delicate works of art is individually cast. Rendered to the specica-
tion of the sculptor, each piece surmounts showroom quality.
The bronze base is automatically awarded at the Diamond Level of each Inner Circle or after entering
ten Milestones. You can receive the base at any level of an award program by paying the dierence equiv-
alent of the Diamond Level entry fee or ten Milestones fees in advance. As you qualify for higher levels in
this particular award program, the engraved plates would be furnished without any further entry fees.
You can choose your sculpture from these ne pieces shown or call the Record Book Department at the
SCI Headquarters in Tucson (520) 620-1220, for other available sculptures.

Of all the hunting awards available in
SCI, many members find the WHA’s to be
the most fun to achieve. For some, the
WHA’s provide a handy road map for
scheduling certain hunts along their path-
ways to adventure. For others, the WHA’s
represent validation of their commitment
to a group or grouping of animals that
they particularly want to honor. Sculptors
Fred Boyer and John Tolmay bronze
enhance any trophy room. .
