Important Pre-Departure Information Travel Requirements
United States (US, Canadian, UK, AU and NZ guests) Effective May 19, 2022
To travel with Viking please ensure you have the following:
1. Valid Passport- must be valid for 6 months beyond your planned trip dates.
2. Proof of full COVID-19 immunization- certified by VeriFLY
- Viking strongly recommends a booster dose administered when eligible. Some countries along your itinerary may require a
booster dose for entry.
3. COVID 19 Test Requirement: Your country of entry has more stringent testing requirements than Viking (see below.) You must
meet those testing requirements instead of Viking’s.
To travel to/from within the United States please ensure you have the following:
1. Proof of negative COVID-19 Test (
laboratory-certified)
US Guests: Viking does accept select at-home COVID-19 tests.
- If "up-to-date" COVID-19 Immunization (includes booster dose when eligible): PCR test taken within 3 days prior to
boarding first flight or joining first Viking activity, or
- If "fully vaccinated" COVID-19 Immunization
(eligible for, but not boosted): PCR test taken within 2 days prior to
boarding first flight or joining first Viking activity, or
- Or an Antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to boarding first flight
or joining first Viking activity
- And/or Proof of Recovery: If you have recovered from a COVID-19 infection (within 1090 days prior to departure)
ensure you carry documentation of recovery or a positive PCR test result from the time of infection.
International Guests (non-US)
- Must be a NAAT/PCR or antigen test, taken no more than one (1) day prior to flying to the US or a US territory.
2. International Guests
(non-US) only - Complete the following forms:
Electronic Travel Authorization (ESTA), found here: https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/
(at least 3 days before your trip, cost: $14 USD) Not required for guests traveling from Canada and international guests
already in possession of a valid US Visa.
Travel Attestation form, found here: https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/pdf/ATTACHMENT-A-COMBINED-PASSENGER-
DISCLOSURE-AND-ATTESTATION-4-4-2022-p.pdf (before boarding flight to the United States).
3. Note: if you are traveling to Canada on your journey, upload your proof of full COVID-19 immunization to the ArriveCAN app
(within 72 hours prior to embarking a ship bound for Canada), which can be downloaded here:

Get a COVID-19 Test with a laboratory-certified proof of negative result.
- You must meet the testing requirements above for Viking, or your country of entry, if they are more
stringent than Viking’s.
- Ensure you are provided with a printed and/or electronic copy of the results.
OR Proof of Recovery as defined above if accepted by your country of entry.
Guests traveling from OUTSIDE the US:

ArriveCAN - If you are traveling to or through Canada on your journey:
Digitally upload your vaccination certificate into the ArriveCAN app (within 72 hours prior to embarking a
ship bound for Canada), which can be downloaded here: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-
health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan.html.
We recommend using the desktop version of the app, as guests have reported slow response times,
unexplained restarts, and crashing on some personal devices.
Note: As you are traveling through or to Canada by sea, select the “Entry by marine” option. When asked
for your “Port of entry,” enter:
“Vancouver Cruise Ship Operations” if you are docking in Vancouver,BC
“Halifax Marine Terminal” if you are docking in Halifax, NS
“Pelee Island” if you are arriving in Pointe Pelee, ON as your first stop in Canada
“Thunder Bay Terminals” if you are docking in Thunder Bay, ON
“Quebec” if you are docking in Quebec.
The details needed are available in your Viking Final e-documents. Print your QR code confirmation and
bring it to check-in.

What to Expect Along Your Journey
The information below reflects the protocols outlined in the Viking Health & Safety Program. Viking’s medical team will continue to
monitor conditions in all the destinations we visit and may adjust these policies as necessary.
1. Prior to your embarkation, there will be additional COVID-19 screening, including:
Temperature check
Health survey
Acceptance of contact-tracing during your cruise
2. Once you are on board and in your stateroom, you will take a COVID-19 PCR test (via non-invasive saliva sample)
Please refrain from consuming anything or smoking for at least one hour before submitting your saliva sample.
Once you have submitted your COVID-19 test sample, you may explore the ship while wearing a mask. Upon receipt of
negative test results, you may remove your mask.

3. During your voyage:
There will be up to daily COVID-19 tests (saliva samples).
Guests are able to explore on shore independently while following the requirements in the country they are visiting. Our
team will continue to monitor conditions, partnering with local authorities.
4. Prior to leaving your ship or post cruise extension, Viking will provide you with test results needed for your return flight.
If you are continuing independently, you are responsible for getting your own COVID-19 test prior to departure.
